Introduction to HHPC

Houay Ho Power Company (HHPC) is a joint venture between Glow, the Electricite du Laos (EDL), and WHA Energy 2 Co., Ltd. It owns and operates a hydroelectric power plant in Attapeu province in Southern Laos. The plant is among the first IPP plant built in Laos and it reached the commercial operation in September 1999. The electricity production from this plant is sold under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) to EGAT and in small extent to EDL to be distributed for the consumption of the communities in the nearby area.
