Even after the completion of resettlement programme by the Laos Government, HHPC has been promoting community assistance programmes, both in the resettlement area and in the villages near the power plant since 2001
|
People in the resettlement area have been provided with year round water supply, thanks to renovation in 2001, improved school facilities and parts/maintenance support under the programme
|

Our commitment to the resettlement area will extend to building a new school, fish ponds, renovation the roadway and sanitation systems in 2006, and will continue in the years to come
|

Most importantly, we maintain a constant dialogue to ensure that we and the resettlement villagers are working together.
|

|
We participate in local community events, provide emergency medical evacuation and are hiring most of the company’s unskilled labour forces here
